The practice was founded in Kensington, London in 1977 by Edward Hill and until 1998 it was known as Edward Hill Associates. It is constituted as a Partnership and is an RIBA registered practice.

The partners are Edward Hill MA Dip Arch RIBA and Christopher Mitchell MA Dip Arch RIBA.

The practice celebrated its 25th year with a major exhibition in Cork Street, Mayfair, London.
